Twenty eight ghost ships, actually fishing boats, have washed ashore on the Japanese coast this year. In past months the boats have showed up empty but they are now showing up with skeletal remains inside the boats. It is 650 and miles between the mainlands of the two country's and it;s been reported that N. Koreans are living on 300 grams of food per day. It appears that the N. Korean fishermen are pushing themselves beyond a 200 mile limit attempting to reach richer fisher grounds. Again, it appears the men and their equipment are not able to hold up to these punishing trips. Sanctions.

Any North Korean with half a brain that could get that far away from tubby would head for any port other than home. I doubt tubby allows anyone that far away.

I went back and re-read the article on Fox News and couldn't dig anything else out of it, other than 18 bodies have washed ashore in separate, decrepit boats and the N. Korean analysts say that Kim Jung Un has sold some of the N. Korean fishing rights in the Yellow Sea to China for need of funds and forced the N. Korean fisherman to turn to fishing in the Sea of Japan. The "experts" consulted for the Fox article, want us to believe that US sanctions and in turn Jung Un, are starving his people to death and that due to the need of food, the fishermen are simply pushing themselves and their small boats beyond their capabilities.

We are not doubting there is a news story.
Just doesn't jibe with North Korea's mindset.

Theyve been starving their people for decades, state is prime, people are resources. The world is fine with it but now the media wants to blame trump for that too? Geez,

I had a variation of that thought, the libs crying about us starving the poor N. Koreans, until they drop an ICBM on New York city. Sometimes they are hard to believe, but Trump might make a deal and sell N. Korea to Hillary, Nancy and Chuck and let them declare it a Sanctuary State. The little Un'er would just love that.

It's been happening for years.  Main thing I found odd about the stories was that fishermen were starving to death.  First couple of fish in the net would have been supper.

Kim Jung Un is holding their families hostage more than likely.

That's exactly what has been happening on the southern border for years and years and years. The cartels will find a Mexican ranch hand and a place to hide hundreds of lbs. of weed and tell the ranch hand that they'll kill every member of his family back in Mexico if he says a word to authorities and of course threaten him too.
I learned about this deer hunting on a ranch 30 mi. west of Laredo. The Mexican man's name was Juan and the dealers had come across and stashed 400 lbs. of the weed on the 12,000 acre ranch telling Juan that he needed to go to a movie down in Laredo on a Tues. night. Of course they'ed told Juan that they'ed track down every member of his family in Mexico and kill them if he talked and that if they couldn't find them, they'ed come back and kill him. Somehow the Feds. has gotten onto the deal and arrested Juan. The man leasing the ranch was named Stan Smiley, a Vietnam Vet. and told me he was going to court to fight for the Juan as he had nothing to do with the importation or hiding of the drugs, but merely a ranch hand that had been threatened with death and the death of his family.
I remember him telling me that we people in central Texas had no idea of what was going on down on there on the border. He said, "It's like the wild west down here, it's not at all unusual for my hunters to see the "wetbacks" backpacking the marijuana through the brush across the ranch to a nearby road. They throw it in a vehicle and they're gone." He told me, "I've shot at them with a shotgun, not to kill them, but just scare them to death and get 'em running."
You could see the Rio Grand River from part of the ranch, so I guess you'd say part of the situation was simple access. You can spend a little time down on the river and you hair will begin to stand on end. It can be more than 30 mi. between towns, it's not unusual for a 911 call to be 30 min to an hr. away. You're on your own, wild and beautiful as the county itself is.
