A cart allows me to easily carry one or two "thermos" bottles. Taking a break with a hot cup of honey laced tea and a biscuit, scone or something is just right. The reason I lean toward one wheel is ability to slip off main trails and onto deer trails easily. For winter I have a kick sled that works well enough.

Not only to be pushed but I have the dog harness. As we only have a single dog, a person can help pull from the front. Going up a rough hill, one pushing behind and one pulling in front.  These were designed and used by the Finns.

I'd have to head into the mountains to be able to use one of those Smiley

I'd say if you were headed deep into a wilderness area, be it the mountains of Colo. or the thornbush country of S. Texas, a one wheeled cart would allow you to carry enough extra gear to make smoothing up a camp worth the effort. Also, I think Vec is laughing at us.

Some people bring a knife to a gunfight and win.

Some people bring swim fins to the knife fight, watch the other idiots kill each other, then take their stuff and swim happily out of zombie range.

A shared sense of humor is a big part of the reason for spending time here IMO

It's an essential survival skill

very true.

the only one who can truly hurt oneself, is oneself.

everything else is texture and color.
